My older brother, Jared, surprised me and came to visit for the week before Christmas! It was so much fun to have him come! He's been in Florida getting his masters and teaching some freshmen english classes at the University of South Florida in Tampa. We just love him! Jason & I have had this ping-pong table - AKA: PONG - for a long time and since we moved into our home we cannot find the net. It is so annoying! We have searched everywhere multiple time and can't find it. So I called around town to find one, now that Jared showed up, since we all love to play and it would be so fun to have...and there are none in stock. Ridiculous. So knowing my handy husband, he said, "Hey, we'll just make one!" So this is what resulted.
It's a piece of our extra alder trim, balanced between the table, with a lovely halloween fabric over it. Jason said it's fine without the fabric, but he really liked it there...plus it made it a little cushioned for the table and less noise when the ball hit it.
These two are crazy pong players and had tons of fun. It's so great to use our bonus room! and so fun to have Jare come!
